Welcome to Daryl Lynch's photographic website. Living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Daryl is a passionate amateur photographer who embraces his love of photography and enjoys the freedom and opportunities life provides to capture wonderful images of the world around us. He enjoys the opportunities to spend time with his wife, Chris, who patiently waits for him to capture the right photo when travelling.
Portrait Photography
Daryl has developed a strong sense of fashion photography, particularly on location shoots. He is also keen on studio work and is constantly experimenting with new and different ideas. Gradually Daryl is extending his people /portrait photography to include a wide range of styles including casual, glamour, alternative, fetish and artistic or fine art figure photography. Daryl provides a makeup artist, when available, on many of his portrait shoots. Chris, Daryl' wife, has undertaken a course as a makeup artist to support Daryl with his portrait photography. However, she has her own interests and commitments and is not always available for makeup.
Sports Photography
The challenge of capturing an image of that perfect moment in live sports will always attract photographers, and Daryl is no different, seeking opportunities to do so in many sports. With his sports photography, Daryl has developed a strong portfolio of photos, especially in basketball, holding, at times, media credentials for NBL, WNBL and Big V leagues in Australia. However, his passion for sports photography is not limited solely to basketball. He has always enjoyed winter alpine photography and travels regularly to Victoria's snowfields, particularly Mt Buller, to capture terrific photos of skiers and snowboarders enjoying the excitement of their sport.
Landscape and Scenic Photography
As travel opportunities arise, Daryl grasps them eagerly, particularly in travelling to places that he and his family have not previously visited. Every trip presents Daryl with a multitude of opportunities to capture the beauty of the world around us. But there are also opportunities close at hand to capture the essence of urban life.
Nature Photography
Where ever Daryl is, with a camera, there are sure to be some aspects of the surroundings that he just has to photograph. Often Daryl will shoot nature photos, relishing the peace and quiet of those shoots.
