Let’s Go

On Saturday night Chris and I went to “Let’s Go”, David Campbell’s show at The Palms in the Crown Complex. He is an all-round performer and entertainer. We saw his show last year, and this was also great. And the bonus – The Palms restricts the use of flash photography, but with my camera and [...]

busy days

I’ve had some busy days and nights recently so this is another catchup blog 24th Jan – storage day Today we moved Grant’s “stuff” from his apartment around to a storage facility he has leased. it took a while to sort out what came from the flat into storage crates and work out in what [...]

Sherlock

Sherlock is Kelly’s dog. But Sherlock spends a lot of time sitting on my lap chewing on his toys. I had not taken a photo today, and decided that it was easier to just take one with the G12 held at arms length.

Birthday cake !

Kelly made a berry cheese cake to take to a birthday celebration lunch for a family friend. This is her attempt, and a really good effort – it was delicious, to make this after first tasting it at Christmas time when it was made by Kendall, my niece.

Tea

While it is warm during the day, I’ve been cooking a barbeque for tea most nights. Tonight I had some fish.

Rose

I went to the St Kilda Botanic Garden at lunch time, one of my  favourite places to go when I need to escape the office for a while. To my surprise the roses were still in bloom, I get used to roses being scheduled around Melbourne Cup, but that doesn’t allow for the Valentine’s Day [...]

Loading new website

My website has not been maintained for some time, but I have decided I need to republish it with new software release, and a fresher look. I was going to do it during the middle of 2011, but I use The Turning Gate web engines and templates, which, with minimal programming knowledge, allow me to [...]

Riverfire 2011

After a discussion yesterday with a work colleague, thought that one of the first galleries I would build in my new website would be some fireworks. As NYE in Sydney was not particularly successful, the previous set I had was from Riverfire in Brisbane. Chris and I first saw Riverfire in 2009 in an accident [...]
